Flemish Love Spell .
The original was painted by a now unknown painter working in the lower Rhine area. I struggled to make a copy at the original size and had to abandoned that, but early in 2009 I made this more successful attempt a little larger than the original.



This painting will eventually be for sale, but I want to live with it for a while. I find it a most delightful secular work from the closing decades of the 15th century.
