Description:
The Dr Rin Akuma-Kun Tarot was perhaps the first tarot to be produced in Japan for young children. It was issued in a brightly coloured box, with an instruction book, a fold out tarot reader’s board and a plastic device with a spring mechanism that fired cards onto the board. The imagery incorporates cute figures and monsters, but keeps close to the tarot symbolism. The Dr. Rin of the title was a fortune-teller in a well known manga series.
