Housewive's Tarot
2004
Paul Kepple
USA
Art Medium:
Collaged artwork from 1950's adverts, or perhaps created to mimic this style.
Description:
Provided in a card index box. The artwork for the cards draws on depictions primarily in advertising of middle class America in the era of the 1950s. Paul Kepple later in 2012 produced the Zombie Tarot in a similar style and packaging box. Empress numbered II, Emperor as III and High Priestess as IV, possibly by error. The imagery on the Pip cards to some extent follows the Rider Waite prototype.
