France
Art Medium:
Pen and brushed ink drawings.
Description:
Originally conceived in 1942 within a circle of poets and mathematicians around Andre Voisin and Yves Bonnefroy then students at the Sorbonne. Apparently the images were used as aids for the creation of plays. In 1970 Voisin began extending the original set of 32 cards to 78 and redrew the images. It is intended as a tool for self-exploration. Some of the imagery is clearly influenced by Picasso paintings. Supplied with a booklet of instruction.
