A fairly recent paper by Laura Bland (Notre-Dame) regarding monastic alchemy:

‘Alchemy and Economy at the Turn of the Fourteenth Century’.



Available on Academia (see link below), but under the title: ‘Making Money: Alchemy and the Rhetoric of Wealth in the Fourteenth Century’.
