The manuscript includes 6 pages of finely-executed diagrams of alchemical furnaces and stills. The recipes are practical in tone and include both ingredients and methods. At least a quarter are concerned with the central alchemical processes of transmutation and many involve metals: mainly gold, silver, mercury and the related element of antimony." | |||||||||
