I am curently creating a series of alchemical fonts based on the symbols for alchemical apparatus, alchenical processes, alchemical substances and weights and times. The first of these alchemical apparatus is now available as a true type font on this page http://www.alchemywebsite.com/alchemy_fonts.html Hopefully, if I find the time over the next few weeks I will create and set up the other fonts. These scalable ttf fonts can be used in publications and even on web sites. A number of alchemical fonts have been created over the past years but they are idiosyncratic and not taken from actual alchemical sources but are the product of modern designers, such as Rudolf Koch. The fonts I am creating are of images from the comprehensive list in Medicinisch-Chymisch- und Alchemistisches Oraculum, Ulm, 1755. |
