A colleague has let me know that the Spanish publisher Moleiro is shortly to publish a facsimile of the British Libary manuscript of the Splendor solis http://www.moleiro.com/base.php?p=SS/en There is no indication yet as to publication date or price, but the edition will be limited to just under 1000 copies. |

I received a catalogue from Moliero. Their Splendor Solis facsimile is very expensive at GBP3880 and even with their generous pre-publication 45% discount it is still expensive at GBP2134. The anticipated publication date is June 2010. Their work is exquisite. They sent me a sample printing of a folio from one of their facsimile Books of Hours. It certainly is, as they describe, "near original reproduction". |
