I don't think that Farrell could be seen as a serious researcher in general. His works are as weird and similar to escapist literature as those of the German author Jan van Helsing or the many others who made these absurd claims about govermental conspiracy, wicked freemasons or the futuristic high tech weapons, such as flying saucers, during the Nazi regime. Concerning alchemy, one could not expect that these authors do a serious work either. |

On the other hand Farrell does have a D. Phil. from Oxford and is an expert on the Eastern Churches. A strange man... |
