Timothy C. Ely, an American art bookbinder, produced an interesting book (a single copy only) of alchemical imagery, entitled Materia. The cover is a beautiful artwork, the front showing a flask out of which a serpent is emerging. I have not seen the interior of the book, and do not know its present location. A number of his other works, sucjh as Alkahest 2003, show the infuence of alchemy. Attached Image (viewed 923 times): |

A nice surprise to see Tim Ely's work here. I studied book arts with him a number of years ago. A fine and subtle artist. Eve S. |
