Art in Translation is delighted to announce the publication of its special issue “Parchment, Parchemin, Pergament: 18th-, 19th-, and 20th-Century Authors on the History and Manufacture of Parchment”, which is now available to read here https://www.tandfonline.com/toc/rfat20/13/4?nav=tocList). Guest edited by Caroline Danforth (National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC, USA), this issue features four texts authored between the eighteenth and twentieth centuries on the history, manufacture, and use of parchment, and marks Art in Translation’s first venture into technical art history.
