Out of a flaming crucible grow a rose to the left and a lily to the right. A king stands with one foot the stem of the rose and the other on the stem of the lily. He holds in his right hand (the rose side) a Sun or Solar disc, and in his left hand (lily side) a Moon or Lunar crescent. The rose has the symbol of Sulphur above it, the lily that of Mercury, while above the crucible is a small face, like a Moon disc, but perhaps here indicating Salt.
