Emblem 1 The Mylius version of the Rosarium Philosophorum

Various men refresh themselves at three fountains. From three spouts on statues water falls into the basins. The fountains are framed by four six-pointed stars which are placed in two columns of smoke which rise on the right and left of the fountain. The sun and moon are set above the fountain. Above this a double headed dragon or snake attempts to devour the stars.
