ALCHEMICAL CREATURES II is Fran de Anda’s second solo feature with Arch Enemy Arts, his follow-up to part one, which sold out last July. It features nine new paintings, including three full-length portraits with custom, hand-embellished frames. Using traditional techniques to grind his own pigment, de Anda paints celestial beings and anthropomorphic soothsayers in oil, gold and silver-leaf. His creatures don ancient religious garb, simplified forms and large, staring eyes that conjure early Byzantine iconography mixed with magic, surrealism, and an element of play.
“My inspiration is based on myths and archetypes such as life, death, nature, and the forces that act mysteriously in the world. I am interested in representing concepts like creation, fate, rain, fire, etc. through the alchemical symbolism of elements and the influence they cause on the viewer’s gaze. [I hope] that whoever looks at my work can find a little magic to accompany them on their journey to discover their place in this world.” - Fran de Anda

"Unveiling the forbidden architecture of Aeonic Alchemy, this grimoire guides the adept through the Five Stages of Satanic Alchemical Evolution, mapping a path from the psyche to the unbound flame. From the Four Black Thrones and Towers of Chaos to the Void Sutra of ritual dissolution, from Sex Magick as a vehicle of Self-Deification to the intersections of dimension, perception, and primal force, every page is a step away from the human and toward the daemonic."

Alchemical myth: variations of contexts. Collective monograph/
Ed. E.A. Baum, L.A. Surina – M.: LLC «The Printer Himself», 2023 – 346p.
This publication is an interdisciplinary collective monograph, which is a unique
interdisciplinary experience in highlighting the phenomenon of alchemy. It emphasizes the
multi-paradigm nature of modern research in this field of knowledge, gives an idea of the
different research approaches and strategies for studying it. The phenomenon of alchemy
is amplified by the authors of the book from various points of view: historical, cultural and
philosophical contexts, as well as alchemical symbolism in art, depth psychology and human
relations.
The book will be of interest to a wide range of readers interested in the history and
philosophy of science, esoteric doctrines, including European symbolic systems, as well as
those who seek to understand themselves and the world around them – material and spiritual.

| Atomism from the 17th to the 20th Century |

" There was an increasing tendency for atomists to borrow in an opportunist way from both the mechanical and natural minima traditions as well as from the alchemical tradition which employed atomistic theories of its own as Newman (1991, 143–190 and 1994, 92–114) has documented. Thus an Aristotelian proponent of the natural minima tradition, Daniel Sennert, whose main interest was in chemistry in medical contexts, drew on the work of the alchemists as well as that of the minima theorists, employed minima in physical as well as chemical contexts, and insisted that his atomism had much in common with that of Democritus."
