Aurora Consurgens

[Paul Ferguson]

"This extraordinary image belongs to the visual world of Aurora Consurgens, one of the most fascinating works associated with medieval alchemy. Surviving manuscripts of the Aurora Consurgens tradition reach back to the 15th century, including the celebrated Zürich manuscript traditionally dated to around 1420–1440."
