"Alchemy is based on the Square of the Four Elements. The Four Elements are oppositions. The oppositions of Alchemy are related to the oppositions of the Square of Opposition of Aristotle in an orthogonal model. They form an arc of 90 degrees, which makes Alchemy the complex part (imaginary) of Logic. In his work De Arte Combinatoria Leibniz developed a general theory of science that was based on a fusion between Alchemy and Logic."
