The Hermetic Life of Francis Bacon

 by Alfred Dodd

Collated and reformatted by Robert Hutwohl

"Francis Bacon, born in 1561 as the concealed son of Queen Elizabeth, led a life of both public and secret pursuits. His early exposure to esoteric activities and his disillusionment with traditional education fueled his desire for intellectual revolution. Bacon’s travels and encounters with secret societies influenced his ideas, leading him to champion scientific experimentation and a new philosophical approach. Francis Bacon, driven by a vision of a new system of ethics and education, aimed to create a society bound by moral force. He pursued this goal through both open and secret means, establishing the Rosicrosse Literary Society and Invisible Rosicrucian Colleges. Bacon’s influence extended to literature, science, and Freemasonry, shaping modern thought and institutions."
