Text from Reusner's Pandora
#2
I suggested to DeepL that they produce a Latin translation engine, but it’s not sufficiently attractive commercially for them to be interested. If they were more aware of the untranslated Renaissance Latin material on science and esoterica they might take more interest.

Meanwhile, the formerly terrible Google Latin translation engine seems much improved.

I agree about the cumbersome Transkribus interface.

Can l point out that Transkribus also ‘works’ with handwriting, including Sütterlin. Well worth investigating if you need to transcribe manuscripts. https://readcoop.eu/transkribus/

Glad to see this formula is working so well for you.

As an alternative for printed material l would suggest the free GImageReader, which is a Tesseract front-end.

Adam, I have the hard-to-get Tesseract traineddata file for German Fraktur. How can I share it on this Forum? It's 2 meg, 800k zipped.
