St. Gallen, Stiftsbibliothek, Cod. Sang. 1727 is an early 17th-century alchemical manuscript housed in the Abbey Library of Saint Gall (Stiftsbibliothek St. Gallen).
• Title: [Aureum Vellus oder Guldin Schatz und Kunstkammer, Books I–III] (The Golden Fleece).
• Origin: Created after 1599 in the 1st half of the 17th century, based on the work of Solomon Trismosin.
• Nature: A verbatim copy of the first three books of the alchemical compendium printed in 1598/1599 by Georg Straub in Rorschach.
• Focus: Explores the search for the Philosopher's Stone, transmutation, and alchemical transformation.
