"The Alchemical Society of Greece (ASG) exists to ensure that the arts and sciences traditionally ascribed to Hermes the Trismegistus are integrally reawakened in the present and the future. To this end, we present the inaugural Symposium for Alchemical Art as our first step towards a series of conferences, online private seminars, and interdisciplinary publications. All who are called to walk the ways of Hermes are considered welcome.
We are primarily concerned with the traditional methods of alchemy, especially those developed up to the 15th century, following the “one matter—one vessel—one fire” approach. We believe that any separation of alchemy into theoretical and practical levels is vicious, as these two levels are inseparable from each other. Similarly, every member of our Society realizes that modern science and chemistry has nothing whatsoever to do with alchemy."
