3 folding engravings inserted in text. These are signed "C. Decker".
1. Before titlepage 114x127mm. At the corners of this plate are depictions of the four elements as classical Gods. Within an oval space there stands a vessel within which a winged disc with interlaced triangles lies in water. This appears to be a reflection of a similar winged disc which flies in the air above. On the left is a garden with trees and plants, while on the right are seven planetary mountains.
2. After page 42. 112x136mm. Titled with banner "Phoenomenon magnetis universalis. Die 15 Sept. Anno 1673". At the corners of this plate are four classical figures possibly depicting Ceres and Demeter, Vulcan and Bacchus. Within a circular space are seven differently sized circles divided radially into 12 alternately black and white segments so as to resemble wheels.
3. After page 92. 114x131mm. Titled with banner "Phoenomenon magnetis universalis. Die 19 Marty. Anno 1674". A moorland landscape with shrubs. On the left is a dead tree bearing no leaves.]
