1. Frontispiece engraving. 152x86mm. "Titul-Kupfer. J: A: Schmidt. exc." A garland or wreath of 12 links is held by a ribbon, and a lamb is suspended from the lower part of the garland. In the circular space of the garland are a dark upward ponting triangle and a white downward pointing one. The intersection points of these triangles are associated with six of the planets, with mercury being shown at the centre at the meeting point of three lines drawn from the vertices of the downward pointing triangle.
2. Inserted before p89. Engraving. 146x87mm. Christ appears in crucifixion gesture in a downward pointing triangle in a radiant circle of fire. The three sides of the triangle are labelled "Omnipotentia", "Iustitia" and "Misericordia".
3. Inserted after p196. Engraving. 145x87mm. Sophia is depicted as a winged female figure with winged helmet and her head in a nimbus of light. She stands with her left foot upon treasure chests and a pot of money, while her right foot is chained to a winged globe. On the ground to the right are alchemical flasks and books. She holds in her left hand an orb with a cross and a crown of thorns, and on her left arm are a crown and a garland or chain with a lamb suspended below. In her right hand she holds up a book with an eye on each page, while a snake coils around her right arm. "Alchimiae encomium. Vera chymia licet mundo sapientia falsa, attamen est divae diva parens sophiae".
4. Inserted before p209. Engraving. 147x85mm. The "Lapis Theosophorum" is shown as a rectangle in which a dark upward-pointing triangle and a light downward-ponting triangle meet at a single point labelled Spirit, God and Man. A lozenge shape, constructed from the mid points of the sides lies on top of this, and has Jesus and Christ associated with it. The top two corners of the rectangle has Father and Word, while the bottom corners have Blood and Water.
5. Inserted at end of work. Folding table. 166x176mm. The philosophical mirror, in which the four elements, the three elements, the sun and moon and the tincture are associated together.]
