1. p[1] Engraving on first titlepage. 52x67mm. Two palm trees stand on the opposite banks of a river with the Mercury symbol within it. The tree on the left has the Jupiter, Mars and Moon symbols on its trunk and Salt at its base, while that on the right has Saturn, Venus and the Sun on its trunk and Tartar(?) at its base.
2. p5 Engraving. 51x67mm. A wind marked with the Saturn symbol blows out of a cloud and flattens down some rushes growing by a river bank.
3. p13 Engraving. 52x68mm. A tree stands bare of leaves but covered with ivy, with ?, ? and Mercury at its base and Saturn, Mars and the Sun to the left of the trunk, and Jupiter Venus and The Moon to the right. On the left sitting on the ground is a winged faun with a bow, while on the right a plant grows.
4. p18 Engraving. 53x 69mm. A hand of God emerging from a cloud marked with the symbol of fire, holds a pruning knife and cuts at a branch which grows under a bench and through a woven rush basket marked with the symbol of ?. In the air above this basket is the opposite symbol of ?. In the foreground flows a canal or river marked with the symbol of water.
5. p46 Engraving. 107x70mm. A large furnace, built in the form of a arch, stand in a laboratory. On a shelf above is a row of seven glass vessels, from bottles to flasks.
6. p57 Engraving. 52x67mm. The hands of God emerging from a cloud pour out a liquid (marked water) from a bucket (marked Saturn) upon the ground (marked ?). Behind a ruined tower burns and the smoke from this (marked Mercury) rises into the air.
7. p64 Engraving. 49x65mm. A hand of God emerges from a cloud (marked Sulphur) on the right and draws on a tree (marked Sulphur). On the left of the tree is a large pumpkin (marked Salt), and its leaves are marked Mercury. Above in the sky to the left is the symbol of the Sun, and on the right that of the Moon.
8. p66 Engraving. 52x66mm. A faun on the right with cloven hoof embraces a fire (marked Salt). Beside him is the symbol of Sulphur, while the smoke which rises to the left is marked ?.
9. p79 Engraving. 52x69mm. A hand of God emerging from a cloud on the right reaches out to grasp (or perhaps is in the act of placing), a bunch of grapes on a circular plate.
10. p91 Engraving. 53x70mm. A wind blows from the left upon a tree which leans to the right. The Sun and Moon symbols appear in the air beside the wind. At the foot of the tree are five round fruits (perhaps apples) and the symbol of Sulphur. A winged Cupid (labelled Mercury) who has abandoned his bow and arrows on the ground kneels beside the tree and grasps an apple. The trunk of the tree has the ? symbol upon it.
11. p98 Engraving. 53x69mm. From the left a hand of God emerges from a cloud and grasps the top of a plant bearing fruits, which has Mercury at its root, and Jupiter, Mars and The Sun on the left and Saturn, Venus and the Moon on the right. The plant appears to have a graft half-way up its stem. On the right the winged Cupid with bow walks away into the distance. Above his head is a star.
12. p101 Engraving. 54x64mm. A slender pyramidical tower stands in an open landscape. At its tip is the symbol of Mercury, while the Sun and Moon stand on the left and right respectively. At its base is the symbol of Salt on the left, and ? on the right.
13. p112 Engraving. 54x67mm. A winged Cupid stands at night under a light on a harbour. He holds up the symbol of ?, and guides a ship into port. The sea is marked Sulphur, and the Ship has Saturn, Sun and Moon on its sails.
14. p127 Engraving. 53x69mm. A hand of God (marked Mercury) emerges from a cloud on the left holding a candle taper, with which it lights (the flame being marked ) a candle standing upon a rectangular plinth (marked at bottom with Sulphur). At the bottom of the candlestick are the symbols ... The plinth has a panel with Sun, Moon, Saturn and Jupiter upon it. In the air to the right is the symbol of Antimony.
15. p169 Engraving. 50x63mm. A path leads into a formal garden. On each side of the entrance are rose bushes with five rose flowers on each, and bees are flying between the two. On the path are the symbols of Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus and Salt, while above flying above the path is a winged Antimony symbol.
16. p187 Engraving. 53x67mm. A hand of God emerges from a cloud and holds a barrel upside down. In the foreground winged Cupid with his bow and arrows moves a fire under the barrel.]
