Description:
The Ota Daihachi Tarot was printed in 'Sekaino utato meruhen vol.9. Utano tubasani', published by Sekai-bunkasha, Tokyo, around 1977. (''Poetry and fairy tales of the World vol.9. On the wings of songs.''). Vol.9 featured German Poems ; Wild Rose series of Goethe, Heinne etc. Music from J.S.Bach, Schuman, Richard Strauss etc. Each volume was packaged in a small cardboard shelf box containing a cassette tape of music, a book of text, and a book of pictures. Ota Daihachi was born in 1918 was brought up in Nagasaki, and later moved to Tokyo. Later, graduated from the Department of Design, Tama Art University. Then worked on illustrations for younger children's magazines and books. Winner of many awards such as the Nihon Gaka Award (1955), Shogakukan Kaiga Award (1959), domestic prize of the Hans Christian Andersen Award (1969), second prize of the Hans Christian Andersen Award. Has a great variety of styles from orthodox oil painting style to Japanese traditional painting style.
