Pellegrino Artusi (1820-1911), the "alchemist" and father of Italian Gastonomy is celebrated in this tarot. He was an Italian banker, businessman and writer, best known as the author of famous Italian cookbook "La scienza in cucina e l'arte di mangiare bene" (The Science of Cooking and the Art of Fine dining). Since 1997, Artusi's hometown of Forlimpopoli has celebrated Artusi with the "Festa Artusiana", an event completely dedicated to food in all of its forms: gastronomy, culture, and entertainment. Solari's tarot, issued a year later, associates Artusi's recipes with the tarot archetypes.
