The new issue of Isis has a Focus section with four articles on alchemical themes (Lawrence M. Principe, William R. Newman, Ku-ming (Kevin) Chang, Tara E. Nummedal) and an introduction by Bruce T. Moran. The underlying theme is "Alchemy and the History of Science" and all articles basically sum up the recent historiography.
The good news is that Isis kindly published the whole section as "Free content" on JSTOR and anyone may download them:
