Currently working on an unpublished text which says that in Epigram XXI Michael Maier refers to Geometry as Der Schein (the shining, illumination) but the Latin has lapis so is this a misprint for Stein? It occurs twice, including once in the heading, so is this a deliberate mistake? Has anyone ever commented on this?
