I'm probably behind the times here, but there is now a web site that is trying to recreate the old Geocities web pages.

If you have a references that have a Geocities url, e.g.
http://www.geocities.com/collectumhermeticus/home.htm

replace the 'g' in geocities by 'r'
http://www.reocities.com/collectumhermeticus/home.htm

You may get a message that the web page has not been converted yet (that one above), but you may be successful, e.g.

http://www.reocities.com/Athens/Acropolis/6586/miller.html

retrieves
Christ as the philosopher's stone in George Herbert's 'The Elixir.'
