Massimiliano Palombara Marquis of Pietraforte (1614 - 1680) was an Italian nobleman who developed an interest in alchemy. I am currently working with Gleb Butuzov on publishing a translation of an allegorical piece entitled La Bugia (the candle).
I welcome any information on Palombara. He is best known today for the Porta Magica which still survives. There is an interesting video on this theme by Fausto Intilla
