Dear Exlibris community,
I am working on a bibliography of the alchemical works owned/read/cited by Isaac Newton. Many of the alchemical titles referenced by Newton were printed in the first half of the seventeenth century in Frankfurt; I am wondering if anyone is aware of scholarship on alchemical publishing in Frankfurt (or Germany, generally) during the early-modern period? Several of the texts, for example, were printed by Guilielmi Fitzeri in 1630.
In addition to this narrow query, I am more generally trying to track down previous scholarship on the print culture of alchemy. I am aware of the usual suspects, such as Ambix and Harrison’s The Library of Isaac Newton, of course; however, I have yet to encounter work that specifically deals with the history of alchemical printing. So, any general references in this vein would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

There's quite a good account of William Fitzer here:

William Eamon might be worth contacting:

I'm not sure if references to German scholarship would be tremendously helpful, but this one certainly came to mind:
Kassell, Lauren, 'Secrets Revealed: Alchemical Books in Early-Modern England', History of Science 49 (2011), 61-87.
Please feel free to pass it along.
