1995
Sandra Parolin, Parivarto Viglierco and Gianpaolo Fiorentini
Italy
Art Medium:
Coloured pencil. Pen and brush drawings on a washed background.
Description:
0-13 are mostly in coloured pencil and by the same artist. 14-21 are by another artist. 22-26 are simple abstract designs by the another artist. 28--32 are stylised lotus forms. Card 32 is blank except for the number. Card 0 corresponds to the first truth of Buddha: the pain of existence. Cards 1 to 12 correspond to the second truth: the origin of the pain. Card 13 corresponds to the third truth: the end of the pain, liberation. Cards 14 to 21 describe the fourth Buddhist truth, the noble eightfold path that puts an end to pain. Some, but not all of these cards correspond to conventional tarot imagery.
