Description: The painter Gianfranco Goberti studied art at the Institut Dosso Dossi in Ferrara and the Academy of Art in Bologna, and later became teacher and Director of the Institut of Arts Dosso Dossi. His early work was much influenced by Picasso and Bacon. He later was attracted by the Nuova Figurazione movement and Abstract Expressionism. His figurative period began during the 1960s. He has had many exhibitions.
