Woodcuts from Nazari Il metamorfosi metallico et humano Di Gio. Bat. Na. Bre. Nel quale si contengono quattro sogni, il primo de' quali รจ della tramutatione sofistica de' metalli; Il secondo della tramutatione reale, o alchimica pur de' metalli; Il terzo della tramutatione fisica de corpori humani; Et il quarto della tramutatione spirituale in Christ. There is an interesting series of woodcuts in the important allegorical work by Giovanni Battista Nazari, Il metamorfosi metallico et humano... Brescia, 1564. The first two images were in the first edition, however, a further four illustrations were added to the second and third editions, which were retitled Della tramutatione metallica sogni tre..., and issued in 1572 and 1599.
